ePackage 1 Course Materials and Instruction
Ride Arizona MTC has gone to the new curriculum from the MSF (Motorcycle Safety Foundation) regarding the eCourse section. The new eCourse is 5 hours long and provides the following:
- Gives you a certificate upon completion.
- Servers as your knowledge test (done from home)
- Is your classroom portion (no classroom portion at the facility).
- It shows you what we’re going to do and how we’re going to do it so there are no surprises (you can view this as many times as needed).
- Allows you to stop and come back to where you left off, go back to a section for more review once you went through it once, and set settings to your preference.
*Please note. If you don’t complete the eCourse prior to taking the course, the completion card will be mailed to you.
*You can send the certificate to email@example.com when done to minimize paperwork at time of class.
Why an ecourse?
Then. Ride Arizona MTC started riding first during warmer months and in doing so we learned that bring parts of the classroom out on the range; which helped students to understand what it was and why it was done. Students were able to comprehend the technique of the exercises. We had great success combing the range and classroom at the same time.
Now. MSF in 2013 came up with the newest version of the Basic Rider Course (BRC-u (Updated)). With these additional 3hr online or reading and answering questions added to the curriculum before class allowed RiderCoaches better train students for the range activities instead of coming in cold and not knowing what to expect so, there are no surprises.
The online version is a visual interactive multimedia of the Basic Rider Course Handbook with 12 sections and has an end-of-section knowledge test. The reading has the same 12 sections but on visual interactive. An 80% correct score is required to earn a completion certificate; this eCourse is to educate you on what we will be doing on the riding portion. Once completed you can print out your eCourse Certificate or email it to firstname.lastname@example.org. If done during or after, then the MSF Completion Card will be mailed to you once received.
The New Now. Ride Arizona MTC is very excited to offer the new ePackage 1 Course that allows the classroom portion to be done at home. The 5-hour eCourse consists of the original 3-hour eCourse combined with 2-hours of what was done at the training facility is now done from your own home at your own time.
The online version is a visual interactive multimedia of the Basic Rider Course Handbook with 12 sections plus another 8 sections and has an end-of-section knowledge. An 80% correct score is required to earn a completion certificate; this eCourse is to educate you for what we will be doing on the riding portion. Once completed you can print out your eCourse Certificate, or email it to email@example.com.
The ePackage 1 course will be issued our via email with a login and password that you may change. You may still take the course if the ePackage 1 course is not done; however, you will not attain the MSF Completion Card until received. A service charge of $5.00 will be required to mail the MSF Completion Card if not done before class.
